We’ve handled many of the public relations requirements for North Bay Hydro including its light bulb exchange. The environmentally themed light bulb exchange event motivated the public to stamp out the threat of the “energy hungry” incandescents using a Sci-fi b-movie motif. We were able to get the City to declare an Energy Conservation Week and use that as a means to promote Hydro’s initiative.
Peter Love, Ontario’s Chief Energy Conservation Officer was on hand for the official launch of Energy Conservation Week and was very excited by the creative and execution of this project, going so far as to say that it was the biggest Hydro incentive launch that he had seen in the province. Over 2000 energy hungry light bulbs where exchanged that day.
